THE FRIENDS OF HATFIELD CHURCH BUILIDING TRUST
The Friends AGM was a small, select affair with only 13 people attending but they do say that's a good sign that everyone must be happy with how things are progressing so we'll take that as read. The Committee remains mainly unchanged with just 1 person, Gill Southgate, stepping down so many thanks to Gill for her work & support over the last few years, she'll be missed.
The Pub Quiz results will be in next month's magazine so we'll hopefully see you next at our stall at the Plant Sale in Church on Sat 24th April and then on Tues 11th May at the Beetle Drive at 7pm in the Barn, tickets are £3 from Janet on (849377 or pay at the door and light refreshments are included.
The architect's Quinquennial Report has identified plenty more work to be done on the Church building & the grounds e.g. the Church path and repairs to the stonework so we'll be hatching plans & cooking up more events to keep that funding flowing with help from others like Dave Terry and 2 friends who have very kindly offered to do the London Triathlon in Aug to raise money for us so look out for their sponsorship forms - rather them than me!
For information: You can become a Friend for a minimum donation of £5.00 per year. These subscriptions are the backbone of our fundraising efforts, with all funds raised going only to help maintain, conserve and restore our wonderful Grade 1 listed building and grounds. Anyone can join us. For more information please contact our Membership Secretary, Jim Brebner, on 01302 840013.
