THE FRIENDS OF HATFIELD CHURCH BUILIDING TRUST
We have 2 lots of good news to start this month - the Fashion Show/Clothes Sale was really buzzing with lots of ladies getting some great bargains and there was also some nice fashion jewellery on sale this time too. 117 people attended and we nearly ran out of chairs so thanks to all of those, to everyone who helped, especially "The Beverage Boys" John, Eric & Dave and Anne of course for organising, it was so successful we've booked another for the same time next year. Lucky raffle winners were Mesdames Riggit, Parker, Wormley, Crookes, Cowan, Bellamy & Sharpe, oh and yours truly. The lucky ticket prize went to Sue Davis and a whopping £414 went to the bank.
The Coffee Morning had a great atmosphere too and looked like Piccadilly Circus at one point! Betty commented it was one of the noisiest too. Even the new Conservative candidate Matt Stephens called in to have a cuppa and meet & chat to everyone. There was a giant Easter Egg raffle won by Kath Lister, Tombola, Bric-A-Brac, a 9-prize raffle, hand made cards & scrummy cakes to buy and we made a handsome profit of £234 but only with your fantastic support & help which we really appreciate. Thanks to those who set up, baked, waited on, had stalls, washed up & tidied up!
Next it's the Pub Quiz at the Bay Horse next on Thurs 15th April at 9pm, £1 per person to enter, 4 bottles of wine for the winning team and a lucky table prize and raffle at half time.
We'll also be hosting another Beetle Drive at the Barn on Tues 11th May at 7pm, tickets are £3 from Janet on (849377 or pay at the door and light refreshments are included.
