The Fashion Sale in Feb was another huge success with around 114 ladies coming along to ‘bag some bargains' and we certainly did. Just what we needed in the current credit squeeze. I wore my little black number the night after and was happy to tell everyone "it only cost £3", but it really didn't look it. After the purchases, cups of tea & raffle we banked £406 for the ‘Friends' so we'll definitely be booking another.
Our last Coffee Morning was a slow starter but after 11.15am it was standing room only and hardly a crumb left! It was lovely to see so many friends chatting & buying up all the delicious, hand made cakes & scones, thanks to all the bakers, helpers, attendees & donators and to Lilias especially for her yummy coffee & walnut cake which was mostly demolished by Sunday evening! The funds grew by £220.
If it's April - it must be Pub Quiz time. Chris & Andy at the Bay Horse have kindly agreed to lend us their premises again on Thurs 23rd April at 9pm. Usual rules will apply, £1 per person to enter with max 4 people per team. It's 4 bottles of wine for the winning team, a lucky table number prize & a raffle so come along and help us exercise our brain cells....
We've also booked another Beetle Drive at the Barn for Tues 12th May & a Coach Trip to Skipton on Wed 15th July so make a note of the dates in your diaries. We will have had our AGM by the time you read this so I'll report on that next month.
